Change is something that humans very often don’t thrive from or at the very least hide from.
Adults usually deal with change better due to the level of control they have in decision making processes, children and change aren’t always great, and toddlers can be horrendous.
Our issues with change is ironic as it’s change that usually brings out the best in us…just like butterflies.
Change means we move forward, experience new things, progress and sample the ‘new’ but from the safety of our cocoon we allow negative thoughts to paralyse us…what if we don’t fly? What if our wings don’t work and more essentially what if we arent the beautiful butterfly we hoped we would be?
After some thought – I’d rather be an ugly butterfly or even sample life in flight for a few moments than spend my life in a dark and constant cocoon.
Is it time you spread your wings, conquered new challenges…or just leave the cocoon? Who knows you may end up with more than you ever dreamt of, you may just soar.
I hate change. Always have. I need to work on that and this post has made me realise that. #thesatsesh

I hate change when I have no control over it! If I’m the one making the decision it’s OK. But when change is forced on me I struggle. Lovely post as always #thesatsesh

I actually thrive on change, if my job becomes stagnant I struggle, living in the same area for a long period of time causes me to struggle. I think change is good and I enjoy it, I love to be involved in it wherever possible #thesatsesh

I have just realized how difficult change is for my toddler! I love it and it makes him an angry sobbing mess. Poor little guy.

I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again … it’s like your posts are designed to tell me what I need to hear when I need to hear it! It’s finally public knowledge that I’m leaving my job of 10 years for a very exciting and challenging new one. I am happy about it and exciting, but I am also so bloody terrified. What if I fail there or don’t like it? You are right though – I’d rather be a crap butterfly than stay in the cocoon. xx #thesatsesh

Toddlers adapting to change is dreadful. And sometimes my husband can be the least flexible person on earth when it comes to change, and it drives me crazy. Adulting has definitely upped my skills of accepting change. It just comes with the age i guess. #thesatsesh
